History of Kaito Gakko Fullerton

Carlos Gallegos started teaching Martial Arts in the 1960s, and has taught at SCE in Orange County since 1974. Carlos spent many years under the tutelage of his teacher, friend, and mentor, "Uncle" David Nu'uhiwa.

As "Uncle's" senior student, Carlos continues a legacy and tradition as few other can. Carlos has taught at private dojos, high schools, colleges, dojos, senior centers, private sessions, and special events. He has also been an instructor in government training courses, including self defense training for airline employees through the Department of Homeland Security.

Kaito Gakko means school of schools, best of east and west. The name Dr. Kaito was given to Uncle David Nu'uhiwa by martial arts masters from the Orient. Kaito Gakko has become a fighting system originated by martial arts master Uncle David; it combines elements of Karate, Danzan Ryu Jujitsu (as developed by Master Henry S. Okazaki, whom Uncle David studied under), Hawaiian Lua, and various other fighting sytems.

Ultimately, Kaito Gakko represents a complete self defense system as effective on the street as it is on the mat.
